At InterContinental we believe that superior, understated service and outstanding facilities are important, but what makes us truly different, is the genuine interest we show in our guests.
Individuals look to travel to provide them with a unique opportunity to embrace new and authentic experiences and gain local knowledge; discovering things others don’t and sharing that knowledge with others. In short, they want to be “In The Know”.
They look to discover more about the world and learn something new in the most glamorous and desirable of settings. Being “In The Know” means that we share what makes the local culture unique. It means knowing the best and most authentic experiences – the “in”-restaurants, the hippest bars, the most admired museums, the special events, the places to shop, the places to walk, the gardens to visit.
“For people who want to be in the know,
InterContinental is the brand that goes out of its
way to deliver authentic and enriching experiences
that make their world feel bigger.”

Isn’t the real excitement of travel having experiences that still enthrall you? At InterContinental we use our expert local knowledge to help guests enjoy what makes a destination unique.
At InterContinental New York Times Square, every guest can feel like a real New York insider. Our Concierge team serves as “In The Know” ambassadors engaging you to take your stay to the next level by sharing local information tailored to enjoy the city to the fullest.
The InterContinental Concierge Program has been developed to elevate the concierge role in all our hotels globally. Once our guests have confirmed their reservations, our concierge team will offer an exclusive link to a New York specific website, packed with insider tips, recommendations, itineraries, interactive maps and a concierge video available to upload on personal iPods and MP3 Players. It’s our way of connecting our guests with knowledgeable hotel insiders in a fun way, helping them gain access to the incredible array of experiences throughout the city.

Situated in the Times Square neighborhood, the InterContinental New York Times Square premiered in July 2010 and brings the InterContinental touch to one of New York City’s most popular areas. Sometimes known as the “Crossroads of the World,” Times Square has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and has become a symbol of New York City.
New York offers one of the world’s most renowned skylines, a sight no one should miss. Towering 36 stories above the city, InterContinental New York Times Square provides guests with front row seats of this skyline including some of the most impressive views over the Hudson River, Broadway, Times Square and the city below.
Leading media, law, fashion, publishing and financial companies are just around the corner, making the hotel the perfect venue for both business and leisure travelers.

Located on Eighth Avenue, InterContinental New York Times Square is close to hundreds of restaurants including “Restaurant Row” and the Broadway theater district.
Adding to the neighborhood diversity, the hotel borders the Clinton district, recognized historically as “Hell’s Kitchen”. Known for its Off Broadway theaters, a haven for aspiring actors, chic restaurants, trendy bars and home to a number of broadcast and music-recording studios, Clinton provides a fascinating detour for guests.
Shoppers are spoiled for choice with easy access to exclusive shopping areas such as Fifth Avenue while those wishing to relax can stroll through the serenity of Central Park, all within easy walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel was designed by Jeffrey Beers International, a world-renowned design team with a global portfolio of award-winning projects. From the moment you step into the lobby of the hotel you will discover a setting rich with imaginative variations on classic themes of glamour, elegance, wit, and seduction.
Jeffrey Beers has created the ultimate memorable experience for guests. He understands the delicate balance between intimacy and spectacle, and continually conjures fresh solutions to environments that ref lect the guest’s increasingly sophisticated expectations.
The design of InterContinental New York Times Square combines classic New York Art Deco heritage with contemporary and natural inspiration, providing a refreshing sanctuary from the bustling streets of New York.

InterContinental New York Times Square is one of the most environmentally responsible hotels in New York City and the largest new build hotel to achieve Certif ied LEED status.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is certif ied by the US Green Building Council and is an internationally recognized green building certif ication system. It provides verif ication that a building was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water eff iciency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, as well as stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts. It promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability which we at InterContinental embrace.

“The garden became a very unique and important
element of the hotel for me. I envisioned this space,
specif ically as a guest in Times Square, as offering
an escape from the bombardment and frenzy of
New York City.” Jeffrey Beers
As you enter the hotel, the lobby sets the tone as a quiet haven of calm amidst the hustle of the busy city. The design was inspired by allusions to nature which are evident in the marble, stone, wood, and textures throughout the hotel. The reception desk of golden veined marble, is faced by luminescent frosted glass, and radiates like a sunset over the lobby. Serving as a backdrop to the reception desk is an open courtyard featuring a ref lecting pool with natural greenery, ar twork, and glimmering tree sculptures.

Drawing upon natural elements, the guest rooms are designed to evoke the feeling of a chic Manhattan residence with dramatic views of the city, Times Square and the Hudson River. The bathrooms offer a spa-inspired experience with walk-in rain showers accentuated with midnight blue mosaic tile made to resemble sparkling water. Appealing to both business and leisure travelers, all rooms feature a workstation, 42 inch HDTV, wired and wireless Internet options and individual touch screen computers. Each room is created to be a warm, inviting respite from the bustle of New York.
PeNtHouse suite
Located at the top of the hotel, the three-bedroom, 2700 sq ft bi-level Penthouse Suite boasts a two story living room with fireplace and dramatic views of the city. Framing the panoramic views are columns paneled in wood with Mother of Pearl insets. A grand staircase rises to the second floor master bedroom with its own fireplace and master bath featuring a free standing tub and sliding glass doors that open to the vista of the city.
