Student Support - Housing Options
Many of our students make a decision to relocate to Houston, Texas to receive their training. Part of planning to attend Tulsa Welding School & Technology Center is knowing where and how you will live. One of the services we provide is to work closely with a student housing company, such as EDURENT. They are licensed real estate agents specializing in student housing. There are many affordable options and they will work with you to determine what your specific needs are.
You can choose to live alone or with others to make it more affordable. You will be with other welding students, and keep in mind it’s only for 7 months. For a shared bedroom the rent can be as little as $450 a month, similar to a dorm room where you share your sleeping space with another student, yet you don’t share your bathroom and kitchen with 20 other students. At the most there are four students in a two bedroom apartment. Single room rates start at about $800 a month and go up.
The most important thing to remember is that you are on your own. You have to make your own food, clean up after yourself, and get up and off to school and work on your own.
