WELCOME TOWORLD HISTORY The objective of this course is to understand
the development of our “world community” through examining events, which shaped the present world, and to identify common trends connecting all peoples and nations together. These trends have impacted history and identifying them is a critical part in the development of the students understanding of the world around them; thus, preparing them for their future as participating members of a global community.

GRADING SCALE: 90-100=A 80-89=B 70-79=C 60-69=D 0-59=FSemester Exams:Count as 10% of thesemester’s final
grade.
GUIDELINES AND POLICIES
Homework Policy: Late Work:Students are assigned homework at least once a week. Students are given daily assignments in class, which should be completed in class. If not, this assignment becomes homework, unless otherwise specified by the teacher.
Late work will not be accepted unless the student has an excused absence from that previous day and the student was not aware of the assignment prior to the absence.

Students are always welcome to come in any morning before school for instructional help scheduled by an appointment time. (8:35-8:55)
Students making less than 70% on a test will be allowed a retake up to 3 days after the test has been given, before school. The 2 grades will be added jointly and divided by 2 for the final grade.
