Daily/Weekly RoutineDaily/Weekly Routine
Children change their reading books once a week, to be brought back the following week.
PE is on Monday (outdoor) and on another afternoon (indoor) depending on the class. Please ensure that they have the appropriate kit and footwear in school.
What should your child bring to school?
• School bag• Reading books and records• PE kit (which is left in school)
And not bring………• Toys • Own footballs• Electronic games• Mobile phones
Don’t forget
If you child is off, please inform school before the start of the school day to report an absence. If you do not then we will be
calling you!
Leave of absence is only authorised in exceptional circumstances.
Doors open at 8.50am, children need to be in school by 9am.

A typical timetable for the week
English every morning from 9.10am to 10.50am (includes reading, writing and
grammar) and maths every morning from 11.05am to 12.10pm.
Afternoon Session (1.05pm to 3.05pm) covers all other subjects and topics.
3.05pm to 3.15pm – Class Reflection / PSHE / Global Focus

SAT testing commences 9th May 2016
At the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils will:‘... continue to sit externally-set and marked tests in mathematics, reading, and grammar, punctuation and spelling. These will be used for school performance measures from 2016 onwards. A sample of pupils will continue to sit tests in science as well.’Teacher assessment in maths, reading, writing and science will remain. Tests and assessments will reflect the 2014 National Curriculum.The results of the tests in reading; mathematics; and, grammar, punctuation and spelling will be reported to pupils and parents as scaled scores. Parents will be provided with their child’s score alongside the average for their school, the local area and nationally.
Please try to ensure that your child is in school leading up to, and including, this week.
Home Learning........Home Learning........The children will have a reading book to read during the week.
Homework will be given to the children on a Monday. It will include a choice from the Home Learning Menu as well as having a maths and English focus.
Autumn Term TripAutumn Term Trip
Our World War II trip is on Wednesday 18th November at
the Maritime Museum in Liverpool.
