Freshman Convocation Tuesday, Aug. 21 (2 p.m. - Performing Arts Center)

One of many great Mercyhurst traditions, Freshman Convocation brings together the president, provost, college deans and other academic officers for the official ceremony to formally admit you as a member of the Mercyhurst University freshman class.

As part of the ceremony, you will learn about the mission and history of Mercyhurst, and you’ll be invited to take the Pledge of Academic Fellowship. This pledge is a commitment you, as a student, make to Mercyhurst and its academic principles and to your own abilities, values and aspirations. After the declaration of admittance, you will receive your Mercyhurst Medallion symbolizing your membership in the Mercyhurst community of learners. Only students who have been admitted through the formal Freshman Convocation receive this Medallion.

Department Meetings Tuesday, Aug. 21 (3:30 p.m.)

Following Freshman Convocation, you will meet with the faculty in your respective major. Please refer to the table below for major room locations.
