Faculty Centric Policies and Utilization

PROVIDENT FUND: EPF scheme is available in the Institution as per rules and regulations since the inception.

ESI FACILITY: ESI facility is provided by the College to the employees of KMIT

GRATUITY: As the Gratuity Act, 1972, KMIT pays Gratuity to its employees. Employees are eligible to receive gratuityas per the eligibility

norms.

PAID LEAVE: Under this scheme, the College sanctions paid leave in case of employee’s marriage, maternity, bereavement in the employee’s

family, or health related issues etc. Six months maternity leaves are applicable to eligible staff.

LOAN FACILITY: a) purchase of laptop b) personal loan facility etc

WELFARE SCHEMES - festival cash advances, travel and accommodation allowances for knowledge enhancement etc.

INCREMENTS AND INCENTIVES for better results in examinations in concerned subjects are given to the faculty every year.

LEAVES casual/ sick leave of 15 days per year. Vacation leaves forteaching staff is 30 days and 15 days for non teaching staff.

FDPs and Faculty development programmers are organized for the professional development of thefaculty. 50% of the fee is reimbursed by the

college as per the eligibility norms.

PAPER PUBLISHING, CONFERENCES both financial and technical support will be given to faculty to attend conferences, workshops,

presenting papers in conferences, seminars etc. organized by other institutions.

PLEASURE TRIPS Institute organizes a pleasure trip for the faculty once in a year.

CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME faculty and technical staff are encouraged to get internationally renowned certifications. Exam fee is

reimbursed on submission of the certificate. Institution provides membership fees to the faculty advisor of student chapter.

Student Centric Policies and Utilization

Measures to prevent ragging.

• The entire campus is under CCTV camera surveillance.

• Banners and posters on anti-ragging act are displayed at prominent places.

• Complaint boxes at first year class rooms and at prominent places are arranged.

• The Telephone numbers of the college administration are displayed at prominent places.

• Awareness on anti-ragging act is created among all the students.

• The date of commencement of first year class work is informed to the local police station.

• Lunch timings and class timings of the first year students are different from that of the senior students.

• Class rooms for first year students are arranged in a separate block.

• KMIT is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.

university for III & IV Year students.

a. Internal exams(2) are conducted based on

BLOOMS TAXONOMY and are mapped with

Course Outcomes

b. Internal exams comprise of objective and

subjective tests.

c. Teachers continuously assess/evaluate the

students’ progress using Tessellator, by

conducting quizzes and tests.

d. Lab internals are conducted and after those

evaluations are made and results are displayed on

Sanjaya (Parent) app and Nethra (Student) app

e. After the evaluation , Course outcome is

calculated

f. Based on course outcome, remedial classes are

arranged for slow learners and advanced

learners are encouraged to become globally

competent.

g. Tessellator , unique software developed by KMIT

is used to evaluate the performance of students.
