A. Course Overview and Objectives

The course provides common types of hazards and safety measures and precautions, to raise understanding and awareness of the safety issues associated with the use and working with welding equipments. Upon completion learners will acquire knowledge and understanding of a range of key issues, including:

Knowing inherent hazards of welding Getting "authorization" for welding operations including risk assessment

and JHA. Guards and protective barriers Hazardous fumes and ventilation Inspecting welding equipment Proper welding safety procedures Eye protection (welding helmets, filters, glasses, and goggles) and other

personal protective equipment

B. Course Delivery

This course is designed for instructor-led training and be delivered through lecture discussion, videos, and exercises.

D. ASSESSMENT NOTE

Questions on the Knowledge Assessment will be graded as a cumulative score. To pass the course, the trainee must earn at least a 70% score on the standard core knowledge questions. And 100% on the pass/fail questions (safety critical knowledge questions).
