wonderful way to learn about and see new sides of one another… A great way to make new friends!
Chair Aerobics: Wellness Coach Gayle facilitates aerobic exercise you can do in a chair to get your blood moving and energy flowing. Chair aerobics is especial-
ly useful for people who want to “ease into” exercise or who need to avoid too much standing for physical health reasons.
City Hall Vision Meeting: Citizens meet and share feedback about what’s going well at Wellness City, what needs improvement, and new ideas for classes,
activities and ways of being together. It’s our way of receiving feedback so we can continue to develop Wellness City according to your choices.
Circuit Training:☼ ■ §Imagine a gym with 5 exercise stations. When you get to station #1 you do jumping jacks for 60 seconds, at your own pace. A whistle blows & you go to station #2, where you stretch exercise bands for 60 seconds. It’s about staying in motion, exercising your different muscle groups, and having fun! You are also building your own physical wellness support system!!! Breaks are included.
Game On!: Come and join us for some fun and interactive teambuilding activities. A good chance to flex your social muscles and play some intriguing games.
Each week will be a different challenge. It could be recovery charades, cookie races, you just never know!
Good Morning: Have a good morning cup of coffee with our awesome Joanne! Talk about how you week is going. Have a little inspirational reading. Share what your hopes and dreams are.
Moving Forward : ♥ ☼§ Will be a group where we look at a changing topic on recovery and discuss how it applies to our lives. We will focus on immediate
needs as well as future goals. RJ & crew will share thoughts, ideas, and attitudes on moving forward in our lives and recovery.
Math for life:$ ⌂ ▲ Our new and improved math for life class has curriculum put together by Wells Fargo! We will go over in detail how to budget for a house-
hold, shopping on a budget, balancing your checking and savings account and even what all types of saving there are.
Mindful Mondays: Meditation, positive affirmations , gratitude journaling. We will start our week with a positive note.
Pacing Yourself: Strategies for managing stress in everyday life. Learn how to work on your interpretation of a situation , perspective can sometimes be eve-
rything! Retrain that brain into a more positive filter. Recognize trigger points and distorted thinking and find ways of coping through them~ believe it or not these things can be changed! Get a happy trigger! Those things plus time management, relaxation, priorities and much, much more!
Personal Fitness Project with Gayle!: This fitness class is more than your run of the mill class– you will increase your strength, flexibility and cardiovascu-
lar endurance. You will find this class to be fun, team orientated and supportive in you reaching your personal goals! We will be tracking progress along the way so you can see each milestone. New attendees must complete an orientation prior to joining.
