The effectiveness of Summer Camp is dependent on qualitystaffing. Our summer staff go through intensive training and

preparation for the summer. Each has a love for God, lovesworking with kids and has a desire to see young people growin their faith while having fun at the same time. We strive tomake sure each camper feels special and knows how much

    God loves them.

Each week, a volunteer pastor or lay person will give a week

of their time as the Minister in Residence (or MIR). The MIRhelps campers learn more about the Bible and teachings of

Jesus through devotions, leading worship and sharing theirfaith while participating in activities with the campers. A listof MIRs is located on the Camp Sessions At-A-Glance pages.

Camp Wesley Woods is an outreach of the Holston Conference

of The United Methodist Church whose mission is to offer Christ's love to all people by:

Providing opportunities for Christian education and fellowship

Encouraging spiritual birth, growth and renewal
