A NOTE FROM: SUPERINTENDENT

DR. AARON JOHNSON

Dear Community Members,

With great pleasure, I have the honor of welcoming you to this fall's WICSD Community Education offerings.

After the year we endured, it is an exciting moment to anticipate a full, in-person return to learning and community activities. We always knew it, but the pandemic called attention to how important exercise, continued learning, and socialization is to our health. It feels good to move, talk, and dive into new hobbies and skills, and according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), even low levels of such activities improve brain health, lower stress, increase energy, helps with sleep, and enhances the mood.

As a fellow resident, I am impressed and grateful for the thought and consideration our Community Education team, led by Katie Tytler puts into our offerings. Whatever your interest or need, we have something for you!

Fall is fast approaching. I am excited to welcome in-person programming back to Community Education. Being together with familiar friends and neighbors places a smile on our faces which shines throughout West Irondequoit.

Fall programs, will follow West Irondequoit Central School District & CDC COVID safety guidelines. We value your participation in our programs and want to keep you, your family, and our staff safe while participating in programs.

As you browse through our Fall 2021 Brochure, we hope that you or a member of your family takes advantage of participating in a class. We have something for everyone; try something new and join us in a program!

We welcome new program ideas; please contact our office with your ideas.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our office @ 585-336-3014.

Stay healthy, create your own happiness, and continue to be active.
