What I learned…

The first person you lead….is yourself

“All in” is the only way.

You can’t beat the “hustle.” Work always wins.

You’re not the smartest person in the room. The best leaders speak last.

You can lead from anywhere – including from behind.

It’s about who you become, not what you are.

Everyone is trying their best…that’s the problem.

What I think is true today.

• You’re living in the greatest time ever.

• Who is President doesn’t matter.

• It starts with values.

• Your team is perfectly structured for the results it is getting today.

• Every organization is limited by its leadership. Leaders need to face this reality.

• Set the values. Be clear about expectations. Have accountability. Get the hell out of the way.

• What lies are you telling?

• You are competing against yourself.

• Great leaders build an organization which survives or thrives after they are gone.

What I look for in a young leader

• I don’t care where you are from.

• I don’t care what your grades are.

• If you bump from job to job, I think you’re a quitter. Someone else can take that risk.

• Not the job title, but the accomplishments.

• Track record of success and achievement from the very beginning.

There are people that make things happen. There are people that things happen to.

What do I want to accomplish?

- Spiritual

- Physical

Set specific goals.

Develop a plan to achieve them.
