Principal’s Message Welcome to week five of our second semester. I want to thank everyone for continuing to support our

remote learning model. We are getting through these times with each other’s help. West Wind Computer

Science Magnet School has a great community of supporters – YOU! Continue doing what you can to help

and let us know if we can help you.

I am excited to share a couple of new pieces of news: “Read Across America Day – March 2nd is coming and

we have a lot of community members joining us to read “virtually” to our students!!!!! More information is

coming soon! Also, an update on our computer science ventures ~ Code to the Future is partnering back up

with us!!! We have eleven classes that have agreed to pilot the virtual version of Code to the Future! All

students now have a license for Code Monkey – TK-5th grade. The program is on their Classlink Page.

Seventeen teachers have been gifted ViewSonic Boards in their classrooms! They have taken on-line training

and will be using this new technology when we return to the classrooms.
