General Information and Nominated Supplier Page: 1 General Information: All garments must have Dillard’s RN #58909 on size/accessory label. Exceptions must be

approved by Brand Manager.

Vendor determines appropriate label/hang tag type and placement for each garment based on packaging/placement guidelines.

All vendor designed packaging must be approved by Dillard’s prior to use

Vendor is responsible for ensuring garments are packaged and shipped appropriately to

minimize wrinkling and have pristine store ready appearance. General guidelines are: Wovens and Knit/Woven combos – Shipped on hanger with any necessary packing material. Cut & Sew Knits and Sweaters – folded with tissue.

Each garment must be in an individual sealed poly bag that meets Dillard’s requirement. A

GENSHIPUPC sticker must be placed on each bag per attached guidelines. Nominated Supplier:

Garment on Hanger Requirements:

All garments shipped on hangers must be fastened securely in box and garments must evenly distributed at both ends of box.



Polybag Guidelines Page: 15

All apparel must be individually packaged in a polybag to protect the product from dust, dirt and damage during normal distribution handling. The following are Dillard’s requirements for polybags. Polybags must meet the following specifications:

Material: high clarity, low-density polyethylene. The polybags can be made from virgin or recycled resins.

Thickness: All polybags( unless otherwise specified) must be plain with minimum film gauge of 1.25 mil and not thicker the 1.5 mil. All bags require a suffocation safety-warning label. “WARNING: TO AVOID DANGER OF SUFFOCATION, KEEP BAG AWAY FROM BABIES AND CHILDREN. DO NOT USE IN CRIBS, BEDS, CARRIAGES, OR PLAYPENS. THIS BAG IS NOT A TOY.”

o Closure: The polybag closure must ensure that contents remain intact during

shipping and handling. However the closure should allow access to contents for inspection without destroying the usefulness of the bag. The following are approved methods of sealing polybags:

1. Pressure-sensitive polyester film tape. Minimum width of ½ inch (1.27 cm).

Three pieces adequately spaced should be used as a minimum, however the number of strips may vary due to bag size. It is the vendor’s responsibility to make certain that the tape used will not react with the product to cause discoloration or damage to the product.

2. Backflip polybags 3. Polybags with self-sealing, re-closable adhesive strip 4. Heat sealing—must be strong enough so that the bag will remain closed

during all phases of handling. For this method, the bag must have vent holes with the appropriate number of vents for the size of the polybag. The vent holes must be half-moon or butterfly construction.

Please note: Metal clips or staples of any type are not acceptable as fasteners for polybags. Markings: Each product must be labeled with the Country of Origin. If the Country of Origin is not visible through the polybag, each polybag must be labeled with the Country of Origin.
