J.m. capriola co.In 1893, G.S. Garcia moved to Elko, Nevada,

and opened the G.S. Garcia Harness and Saddle Shop. Garcia hired apprentice Joseph Martin Capriola in 1905 and continued to grow the successful company. In 1929, Joseph Martin opened J.M. Capriola Co. two doors down from Garcia’s shop, and the business has since remained at that location.

After 87 years, the store still has a working saddle shop, and a complete Western store with more than 5,000 square feet of shopping.
