This year’s theme is “ASEAN 2015 and Beyond:
Opportunities and Challenges for WMSU Graduates”.
The ASEAN integration brings a lot of promises
to all of us. However, along with these, are the challenges. As a result, the academic
institutions and the industries have been meeting and seriously working hard to
ensure that our graduates, the human resources, are well-equipped with the
necessary knowledge and skills to nurture the kind of workers the countries of
Southeast Asia need.
Your alma mater is counting on all of you, dear graduates, to constantly
upgrade your skills, to be competitive and productive in the future. Set your goals
high, and do not stop until you get there. Always remember that hard work is not
over when you graduate.

VISION
The MVTS WMSU – ESU as an extension arm of Western Mindanao State University
envisions graduates who are morally upright, academically and technologically skilled
for social mobility in a global based community.
It will continually align itself to the University’s pursuit of its mission/vision even as it
endeavors to provide affordable quality tertiary education and technology transfer
to the differently privileged youth in the area.
MISSION
Provide affordable but quality college education to poor but deserving high school
graduates in Molave and its environs.
Enhanced faculty and staff development program under WMSU Main campus. Build
and beef-up physical facilities i.e. computers, books and computer laboratories.
Forge linkages with other sectors in the community. Assist LET Takers through
comprehensive review program.

Thomas Macaulay said, and I quote “The measure of a man’s real character,

The world is at a crossroad. The greatest challenge that the 21st Century has offered is for humanity to find common grounds and to have shared objectives.
Recognition of shared responsibilities and fates across the social divide must not only be realized locally, but be extended internationally. Thus, though contrary to popular opinion is not the greatest issue – cooperation is.
The question then is not whether you, our graduates are competent and skilled enough to compete with the world. Though, admittedly, the Academe lags at certain points and constraints exist, it remains beyond doubt that WMSU Graduates are shaped to fit the molds of International Standards.
The challenge, therefore is how you, men and women of this Grand Institution, share essential contributions to overcome the challenges of Sustainable Development – realizing equity of resources, stabilizing world’s population, protecting the environment, advancing equality and narrowing the gap between the poor and the rich – which has already taken center stage as of this writing.
Great, indeed, are the challenges – most especially for you graduates of batch 2015 – because, in this year, the ASEAN Integration accelerates. However, having trust in your acquired Education and Training, the future, no matter how uncertain, remains bright for all of you.

Invoking the aid of the Almighty God, I pledge to pursue
knowledge as a sacred calling: to act as guardian and promoter
of the best and ideals of my people; to mold aspirations,
characters and lives of the youth in the light of progressive
thoughts and ideals thus, fashion them into enlightened and
responsible citizens.
I feel that it is my solemn duty to act as the best instrument of good
against evil, to live an upright life and dedicate myself to the
fulfillment of the highest ideals and principles of the profession as
