20th July 2018

This is Westfield School Values Tree. In September it was bare but now it is very full!! Students have been working towards earning leaves by demonstrating our school values such as kindness, courage, maturi-ty, empathy and hard work, to name but a few. It is fantastic to see our school values

represented across the year in such a beautiful way. Well done everyone.

Hampton Court July 17th

Key stages 1-4 enjoyed a day at Hampton Court Gardens. We wandered through the maze, looked at beautiful gardens, tried some swings and zip wire as well as enjoyed the well deserved ice cream. Well done to all, thanks to our hosts, and we highly recommend a visit if you haven’t been.

6TH FORM LEAVERS Westfield 6th form bid a fond farewell to Joe, Kiran and Tia this year, some of whom have been with us for a considerable time. Leavers enjoyed a lunch tailored to their favourite foods shared by their friends, family and staff on the 6

th form courtyard.

Leaver’s hoodies, photos and personalised gifts were presented to the students as mementos of their time with us. Westfield staff, pupils and governors, and friends wish all leavers every success in

their future endeavours.

Other leavers Some times students leave us to move on to new schools. This year we are also

saying goodbye to Imani and George, both of whom are moving to different schools. We have known them both for a long time, and are all sad to see them

leave. However, we have had fun celebrating their success, and wish them all the best for their future.

Our school attendance target is 95%

This year’s whole school attendance was 91.56%

Let’s try a bit harder next year

DRAGON DAY Another brilliant day at Westfield School was had yesterday, with Dragon Day celebrating the end of our termly theme. The whole school got involved making dragon fruit kebabs, taking part in tricycle jousting, making dragon snakes and crafts. A Circus Skills workshops was held throughout the day, culminating in a fabulous perfor-mance and lots of practical activities. Everyone had a great time, the sun shone and spirits were high. We all joined in a dragon dance at the end of the day. Thank you for all the fruit donations - we were overwhelmed with the generosity. Please go to our website for more photos.

This year, the PTFA, with your help, has raised an amazing

£8449.57.

This is the largest annual amount for some time, and sill go

towards buying much needed rewards, and resources for

your children. We would like to thank all members of the

PTFA, and all parents and friends who attended events organised.
