The Westpark business community consists of a unique mix of industry sectors and scale of enterprise. There are vibrant clusters of aviation, ICT, finance and logistics firms. The client base ranges from start-ups and small & medium enterprises (SMEs) to high potential start-ups (HPSUs) and multinationals. The Australian-headquartered financial services multinational, Pepper Asset Servicing, is the latest firm to decide to locate at Westpark. Marking its first entry into the European market, the company took up occupancy of a 13,000 sq ft office suite at the campus this month which will accommodate 130 people. Westpark’s ability to offer a turnkey solution and the fact that it was able to provide Pepper with an office suite consistent with the quality and fit-out standard of its corporate HQ in Sydney were key factors in its decision to locate. A number of existing clients have also expanded their operation within the campus, availing of the flexible options on offer. A financial services HPSU, Vanderbook & Co., is the latest example. “We had a very high level of activity in the second half of 2012, signing agreements with a number of companies to occupy 35,000 sq ft of net lettable space,” said Brian O’Connell, Westpark Managing Director. These companies’ greatly valued confidence in the campus is the greatest endorsement we could have for Westpark,” he said. Other factors that have influenced firms to locate include the provision of a one-stop-shop solution by campus management. “Whatever the required needs, we tailor our approach accordingly. Our offering ranges from physical space and flexible leasing terms to high-quality onsite services such as state-of-the-art ICT/Data Centre infrastructure, facility management and extensive conference and restaurant facilities,” the MD added. “What makes Westpark unique in many ways is the diversity of industry and enterprise levels you find here, which offers much potential for beneficial linkages. You also have the full spectrum of campus facilities and wide-ranging supports that are geared to support their operations at all stages,” concluded Mr O’Connell.

Illustrating the close linkages between Westpark and furthereducation/training interests, four staff members from three campus

companies were among the first nine graduates to emerge recentlyfrom Ireland's only Corporate MBA in Aviation ManagementMasters Degree Programme at the University of Limerick.

Conferred with their Masters Degrees were Susan Keating (SES),Anton Tames and Brian Martin (GECAS), and Liam Bagnell(Aero Inspection International).

The two year MBA course was designed by the University ofLimerick and aviation industry experts to meet therequirements of the fast-growing sector in Ireland. It focusedon key areas, such as International Management, AirportBusiness, Financial Reporting, Aircraft Leasing, Strategy andAirline Marketing.

Liam Bagnell, Technical Director of Aero Inspection Interna-tional, said it was very beneficial and would play a fundamentalrole in the strategic development of the company.

Another 25,000 sq ft of Westparkoffice space on the marketWestpark Business Campus is to make a further 25,000 sq ft of high-quality, flexible office space available during the current year.

Westpark’s unique mix of highly competitive office accommodation and comprehensivesupport services led to an extra 35,000 sq ft of ultra-modern offices being leased to a varietyof enterprises over the past 12 months.
