suitableforthesupplyprovided,ambienttemperaturepresentandtheenvironmentalconditions.

• Itistheuser’sresponsibilitytoensurethereisnopotentialdifferencebetweentheearthsupplytoaFloodliteunitandthelocalearthintheworkarea.WherethisisnotpossibletheequipmentshouldbesecurelyearthbondedtometalworkintheimmediatevicinityofwheretheFloodliteisbeingused.Aflexiblecableisrecommended(6mm2minimum,nomorethantwometreslong),connectedtotheearthgroundingpointontheFloodliteenclosure.Floodlitesmustbede-energisedduringconnectionordisconnectionofthelocalearthbond.

• Safe/OptimalVoltageIndicator(SOVI).TheWolfWF-300XLLEDFloodliteincorporatesSOVItechnologytohighlighttotheuseriftheproductisoperatingoutsideofthecertifiedmaximumandrecommendedminimumvoltagerange.

• ThediagrambelowrepresentstheSOVIfunction,itdemonstratesthatwhenthevoltageisnotwithinthe“Safe/OptimalVoltage”thelightoutputwillchangefromaconstantuninteruptedbeamtoapulse.

• ThisproductisClass1equipmentandmustbeearthed.Floodlitesaresuppliedasstandardwith3coreearthedsupplycables.Wheretheuserspecificallyrequiresa24voltSELVFloodlitewith2corecable(+veand-ve)/a2poleplug,theFloodlitemustbeusedwithaseparateconnectiontoearthviatheexternalearthgroundingpoint.

• AllFloodliteshaveterminalblockssuitableforincomingcablesforupto4mm²conductorcapacity.

• Ex“e”certifiedIncreasedSafetyterminalblocksmusthaveallterminalsfullytighteneddownevenifaconductorisnotfitted.Onallterminalblocks,tightenscrewsto0.5-0.7Nm.

• ATEX/IECExapprovedcableglandsmustbeusedandbesuitableforthetypeofcableused.AnyunusedcableentriesshouldbeblankedoffwithasuitableATEX/IECExapprovedstopperplugtomaintainaminimumIP67ratingasmarkedonthelabel.

• Floodlitesandcableshouldbeinspectedpriortoeachuseforvisiblesignsofdamage.Particularattentionshouldbepaidtoglandandsocketentries.Damagedlampsshouldberemovedfromtheworkareaandrepairedbeforebeingputbackinservice.

• WhenthepolycarbonateFloodlitelensguard(WF-421)isfittedtotheFloodlite,theendusermustensurethatthisissuitablefortheatmospheretheFloodlitewillbeusedin.

• IsolatetheFloodlitefromthemainssupplyandallowtocoolbeforecarryingoutanymaintenancework.

• IMPORTANT.NomodificationsarepermittedtotheFloodlites,allsparepartsmustbepurchasedfromthemanufacturer,unauthorizedmodificationsorsparepartswillinvalidatecertification.

• PortableAppliancetestingmustbecarriedouttoIEC,ENstandardstothecorrectratingi.e.250VDCfor18-50Vversionsand500VDCfor90-264VACversions.Liveandneutralcablesmustbeshortedtogetherandthevoltageappliedbetweenearthandthisconnection.

FRONT COVERRemovethefrontcoverbyunscrewingthefoursocketheadretainingbolts.ReleasetheEarthconnectingwirebypullingthespadeconnectionoffintheFloodlite.Performrepairs/maintenanceasnecessary.Toreassemblefollowtheabovepointsinreverseorder.Takecarenottotrap/crushwiresandensurethesealisingoodcondition.*TheCertificatelabelandserialnumberarefittedtothefrontcover,thereforedonotinterchangethefrontcoverswithotherWF-300XLFloodlites.Seeinternalbodylabelforserialnumberreference.

CHANGING CABLE OR SOCKETSeediagramsoverleafDisconnecttheinputcable,releasecablefrominputgland.Checktheglandsealisingoodcondition,fitthenewpart(s)andre-assembletheproductbyfollowingthestatedprocedureinreverseorder.

CHANGING LED PANELSSeediagramsoverleafEachLEDpanelcanberemovedbyunscrewingfoursocketheadboltsandthewiringterminations.Discardtheoldpanelandreplacewithanewonebyfollowingtheremovalprocedureinreverse.AnewthermalpadmustbefittedonreplacementundertheLEDpanelasshownintheexplodeddiagram.

CHANGING LED DRIVERSSeediagramsoverleafUnscrewtheinternal&externalwiringterminationsfromthesix&fourwayterminalblocksandremovethedriverretentionbracketbyunscrewingthetwobolts.Oneorbothdriverscanbereplaced.Toreassemblefollowtheabovepointsinreverseorder.

CHANGING GLASS LENSSeediagramsoverleafReplacetheglassbyunscrewingthesixsocketheadscrewssecuringthethreeretainingplates.Fitthenewglassmakingsurestripgasketmaterialisfittedbetweentheglassandeachretentionplate.

FAULT FINDING

RiskofShock

IfaWF-300XLFloodlitefailstofunction,removetheproductfromserviceintoanonhazardousarea.RemovethecoverandapplypowertotheFloodlite.ChecktheinputvoltageattheterminalsispresentandisthecorrectratingfortheFloodlite.IfthevoltageiscorrectthechecktheoutputvoltagetotheLEDpanels,thisshouldbe19VDC+/-1V.Ifthisvoltageisnotpresentthenthedriverisfaulty,ifitisthentheLEDpanelisfaulty.Replaceasnecessary.

DISPOSAL OF WASTE MATERIALDisposalofpackaging,FloodliteaswellasLEDpanelsanddriversshouldbecarriedoutinaccordancewithnationalregulations(WEEE).
