Our Journey

Starting with a production floor area of less than 2,000 sqft, today our manufacturing and R&D facilities are spread over 15,000 sqft. And from a beginning of about 10 staff members, now we are a strong team of over 100.

At Metal Power, we have two main Divisions - Analytical and Metallurgical. We are mainly a manufacturing company with our present expertise in the fields of Atomic (Optical) Emission Spectrometry and Metallurgy/Metallography, including Metallurgical Image Analysis.

Certified Reference Material (CRM)We also make Certified Reference Materials (CRM) or certified standards to suit your needs. We assure you the best quality of various grades of ferrous and non-ferrous Alloy Standards in solid form.

Metal Samples are manufactured using techniques like ESR, HIP, chill casting, forging, annealing, etc, to achieve good homogeneity. Even difficult to make Cast Iron, SG Iron and Aluminium Standards, are regularly being manufactured using appropriate technologies.

We follow ILAP (Inter-Laboratory Accreditation Programme) and have systems in place as per ISO-17025 for testing and follow ISO guidelines 30-35 for manufacturing of CRMs. Each CRM is accompanied by a Test Certificate giving Certified Elemental Values, Standard Deviations and Uncertainty. ILAP Values are provided too.

2in1-G Sample Surface Preparation Machine

The 2in1-G is a compact, non-polluting, low noise and handy machine for ferrous metals.

It can do grinding and pointing of electrodes. It has an Auto-Grit collection system for sample preparation. It gives a big advantage to the spectrometer operator as he can decide how much of the surface to grind. Since it is kept close to the spectrometer, the 2in1-G avoids the mix-up of samples and helps cost-reduction especially when preparing expensive standards.

3in1 Sample SurfacePreparation Machine

The 3in1 is a versatile, compact and handy machine for ferrous & non-ferrous metals.

One can turn softer non-ferrous samples as well grind hard ferrous and other samples. The Turning Station has a see-through shield for the safety of the operator from hot flying chips. The Grinding Station has an Auto-Grit Collection System. The Pointing attachment is for fine and accurate pointing of the Tungsten Sparking Electrode to just the right, recommended cone angle.

An advanced model, 3in1-AFVS, with automated turning or grinding feature is also available.

The other products presently being manufactured by us include the H-Scan Hydrogen Analyser. This is for the analysis of Hydrogen in Molten Aluminium.

The latest model has several new and useful features, some of which are patented. Fast and accurate analysis. Safety alarm in case sample pot is left open. Display in cc/100gm. PC connectivity to download of data and records. 4-LED, 7-Segment for readout in ml/100gm. Rugged and Reliable. LCD interface for time, date, name and sample id.

Spectrometers - both hardware design as well as operating and application software - are being continually worked upon to improve and innovate. Metal Power’s team generates ideas at a furious pace. Some of our concepts have already been patented and newer concepts are being developed.
