Brief outline of details.

We will target specific students

and aim to fill in gaps- especially

for those students who have

switched tiers between Year 10

and 11.

There will be in-lesson revision

before the mocks, then general

revision lessons for all students

after Christmas. There will also be

targeted intervention for specific

students (invite only) following

Students who struggle with

component 2 concepts will be

given the opportunity to practice

written programming tasks using

pseudo code. They will also be

reminded to the fundamentals of

within the drama barn to have

one to one sessions with the

teaching in regards to practical

monologues. In Autumn 2,

Revision sessions will start for the

component 3 written test.

Theory revision for the exam

We will be offering a foundation

and higher intervention sessions -

rotating amongst teachers from

3:00 - 3:45. This will focus on

vocabulary learning and writing

practice. In the run up to the

speaking exams we will change

focus to preparing for the

speaking exams (spring 2)

Three sessions run simultaneously

- students will be advised which

The ICT iMedia course is largely

coursework based so rather than

revision classes, students are

offered extra hours after school to

enable them to complete their

giving strategies as how to best

answer exam questions, especially

extended answer questions.

GCSE POD is very helpful, Seneca Learning (AQA

GCSE French), Quizlet, BBC Bitesize, French catchup

lessons on the Oak Academy website, GCSE French

is vocabulary learning regularly and in small doses.

Please do commit to sitting down and testing your

son/daughter on their French vocabulary for 10

minutes or so three times a week. This will benefit

them hugely. It doesn't matter whether you speak

French or not - just engaging with the learning of

your son/daughter will be enough to encourage

them.

and Seneca learning / GCSE pod also have a range

of useful resources.
