What have I learnt from my Music Video feedback?

The Reaction we received at Screen on the Green

Our video was the last video which was shown when we went to Screen on the Green. When our video had finished playing, the amount of noise we received was astonishing. From the response we received at the screening I finally realised that our group had came together to create an authentic and professional Music Video, which mean our research, planning, production and editing stages had all been successful and came together to make a great piece of work.

Good Use of Synergy

One of the main things I learnt from my Music Video feedback was that the synergy product of the rose worked extremely well. From the responses I received I could infer that it was obvious people understood what our synergy product was, because of the way we used it: for example when our Artist Karma picked the graffiti rose off the wall in the beginning of the video and it came to life and then when she placed it back into the wall to close the video.

My Editing Skills

Another thing which was noticed by my target audience was the editing to the beat. Many members of the target audience said the editing to the beat was done extremely well and the cuts were in perfect timing with the song. From this I learnt that my editing skills have improved greatly from AS and I put this down to time and practice. This year I attended many workshops and spent a lot more time working on my main product and ancillary work which is why people can notice my improvements.

Our Artists Performance

A number of people also commented on Carina’s performance. They generally said that she performed well and looked like she was comfortable in front of the camera. From this I learnt that for a Music Video to be successful, it all depends on the performance delivered by the artist, it’s like the artist has to become one with the song for it to work.
