When creating my preliminary magazine I found that I did not take into consideration the look of the background and so the overall look of the magazine was convoluted and so it was difficult applying sell lines and mastheads to the magazine as changing the colour would not look in place and make the magazine look un appealing.

When taking photos for my music magazine it was clear to me that the background was very important as well as the lighting I had positioned my model in a position when the light hit him directly and I used a clear background which allowed the editing of my model to be easier as well as clear quality photos that add to an overall appealing image of my model.

While creating my magazine I had wanted to bring my model in front of the masthead but behind the main sell line so that we know who the model is and the importance of the model.

The cannon SLR I had used had allowed me to take a

range of photos using different lighting and positions,

when using this camera for my preliminary task I did not

make a lighting a factor and this clear when we see my

model seems quite dark and his face is not clear to see

this lowered the appeal of my student magazine and so

lead to an overall un appealing design.

Using the canon SLR for my music magazine had been

different as I had to take in many more factors for a

better quality image which had been the direction of

lighting hitting my model, adjusting the focus for better

quality image and taking the background into

consideration.

I learnt that when using an SLR you can adjust the focus

for a better quality image this I did not know when doing

the preliminary task which lead to my student magazine

having a mediocre look to it.

I had used Photoshop CS6 which had been very difficult to begin

with I had very minimal experience using it, this lead to a wide

portion of time being taken up in order to get used to the feel of

Photoshop and to be able to do the basics, I had also used YouTube

tutorials in order to assist me for example how to professionally

remove a background for the image you want to use.

After I had adapted to using Photoshop it had became quite easier to

experiment with some of the tools which can be seen for my drafts

and what I felt had been the most useful tools which where the quick

selection tool in combination with the refine the edge tool.

I had first used voice thread in order to critically analyse my alternative rock magazine, prezi for my research and planning as well as my drafting, my preliminary task look back and the way in which social groups are represented from my magazine these two websites I felt comfortable using and so was able to easily elaborate on my work.

I had also used powtoon for who my audience would be for my media product

Wiki space had been used for my media institution. YouTube had been used for my explanation on how my

magazine will attract/adress audiences. Slide share is currently being used as part of my evaluation as

my technologies process will go on.
