YOUTUBE

• YouTube is a site that allows you to upload your videos and also view everyone else's videos across the globe and is also connected to google.

• We use YouTube to upload our preliminary task and film so that is made it easier for us to upload them to our blog.

• We had all used YouTube before but never to upload our own videos so taught us how to do this.

• It is a simple and quick procedure to use which looks neat and precise on our blogs.

• However YouTube isn’t private it is completely open to the public so everyone could access our videos.

• This is a great way to get noticed in the film industry with very little money.

BLOGGER

• Blogger is a site made by google for people to create blogs for free which we used to create our media blogs.

• None of us had used blogger before so we learnt how to make a blog including editing and updating it regularly.

• By using blogger it allowed us to explore different ways to broadcast our research and all about our production.

• It allowed us to be more creative in how we presented our work, learning new and unusual ways to do this.

• However it can be very time consuming to keep updating the blogs and figuring out how to edit and post.

CAMERA

• We used the Panasonic camera to film our prelim, pitch and film.

• It was simple and easy to use and quickly uploaded our footage to the iMacs, to enable editing of the footage to take place.

• We learnt how to film footage on a camera which we didn’t know before.

• This helped us develop on our filming skills, we had never filmed any type of professional footage before so using this camera helped us as it was easy to use.

IMOVIE

• iMovie is an application on the iMac which enables you to edit footage.

• We uploaded everything we filmed onto their where we put together and edited our media product.

• It is a very easy software to use which we taught ourselves in a very short period of time.

• Without this software we wouldn’t have been able to edit our footage together and add special effects to make it fit our horror genre.

• Even though we where limited to certain editing techniques on iMovie it still taught us a lot as we picked up valuable skills from using it.

• It also taught us filming needs a lot of time and patients because it extremely hard to do.

SLIDE SHARE

• Slide share is a website online which enables you to make and edit presentations and also upload them for other people to see.

• We used slide share to make presentations about information for our research, findings and planning.

• It was easy to use despite none of us using it before, allowing us to create the slides and upload it straight to our blogs.

• It made our blogs look a lot more creative and was less dull than writing essays.

• We could also learn a lot from other peoples slide shares on there and interpret some information into our own research and production.

IPHONE

• iPhones are used for many different reasons but we used ours for the high quality camera.

• We used the camera to take our location shots and camera angles.

• Using our iPhone it allowed us to easily upload them to the iMacs to put onto our blogs, which we had never done before.

• It aloud us to take high quality pictures and upload quickly to the iMacs then our blogs.
