1.Two stage certification, Provisional Design AssessmentCert. on design and Full Cert after Completion &Verification.

2.Requirement to verify building performance to preventdeterioration of installation & ensure maintenance prior torenewal of Certificate (3 years after Full Cert.)

Government Incentives (Budget 2010 tabled on 24th October):-

1.Income tax exemption equivalent to the additional capitalexpenditure in obtaining the certificate.

2.Stamp duty exemption on transfer of ownership for firstpurchasers of Building with GBI certificate.
