A freely available collection of cloud machinery elements that let's you create cloud environment.
The environment has well described both user and machine interfaces, and good documentation.
Different Clouds
● Private cloud
– For development environments
– Automatizing the existing server capacity in-house
– Small-scale production cloud● Hosted private cloud
– OpenStack can be hosted externally
– Smooth transition from private cloud to hosted private environment.● Public cloud
– There are operators that run public clouds using OpenStack.

● Use OpenStack for cloud privacy
– Keep your valuable data close to you (customer information, corporate sensitive data) -> private, or in trusted public

● Identify who do you don't want to handle your data
