SARMasterisautilityforanRCCOperatortoassistintheaidofprosecutingaSARIncident.

OnekeyfunctionofSARMasteristhevisibilityintotheCOSPASSARSATsystemforrecognizing406DistressBeaconTransmissions.Thereareover400,000offtheshelf406beaconsinWorld.TheSARMastersystemisacommandandcontrolinterfacewhichallowsanRCCtointerpret,organize,andtrackBeaconTransmissionData.

TheSARMasterinfrastructureinteractswithCOSPASSARSATSatelliteandGroundstationcomponents.Beacontransmissionsviathesatellitesarereceivedbythesatellitetrackingstations(LocalUserTerminals:LUTs)whicharethenintegratedandfedintotheMCCnetworkwhichinturnfeedstheRCCSARMastersystem.WhenRCCControllersidentifydatarelevant,SARMastertoolsareusedtoassistwiththelocatingandrecoveringoftheperson(s)indistress.

OnceSARMastersoftwareisloadedontoanRCCworkstation,openingtheSARMasterlinkalongwiththeUtilitiesmodulewillallowtheUsertoreceiveBeaconrelatedinformation.

TheToolBarandTabsoftheincidentmanagerallowtheusertoaccesstheotherSARMasterUtilities.TheincidentmanagerwindowisalsothelocationwhereRCCcreatedincidentsmaybereferencedataglance.

TheGISTab(alsorepresentedbytheglobeicon)andtheUtilitiesTab(alsorepresentedbytheantennaicon)aretwocommonlyusedutilities.

TheGISInterface,representedabove,allowstheusertoseeDivisionalboundaries,andhasmanyconfigurations/featurestoenhancealerts/location/AORs,etc.IconsindicateBeaconTransmissionsandmakedistinctionsbetweenDopplerandGPSlocations.TheImageaboveisanexampleofhowanRCCController,setsupSARMasteronhisdesktop.

UsingtheUtilitiesIconwillexposetheUtilitiesInterfaceMenu.TheCOSPASSARSATBeaconsTabwillallowyoutoaccesscriticalDatarelatedBeaconTransmissions.TherearefourtabswithintoCOSPASSARSATBeaconsgeneratedwindowwhichyoushouldbefamiliarwith:Composites,Elementals,Messages,andBeaconRegistry.
