The Dominguez Hills First-Year Experience is a comprehensive model that integrates several evidence-based high impact practices known to increase student learning, persistence and overall success while decreasing time toward graduation.

Provides academic and other forms of assistance to support the success of students during the summer prior to starting college and during your first year as a CSUDH student.

Complete your accelerated summer course in only six weeks starting June 29, 2015 through August 7, 2015 (Early Start) or July-August (General Education)!

Who?All incoming freshmen who:-Score 146 or below on EPT: (English Placement Test)

•141-146 Required to take ESE 99 only (1)•120-140 Required to take ESE 88 & ENG 99 (2)

-Score 48 or below on ELM: (Entry Level Mathematics exam)

•42-48 Required to take ESM 9 only•00-40 Required to take ESM 3 & MAT 9

What?•FREE or Low-Cost 6-week summer course(s) in math and/or English•FREE Friday Workshops to help you make a successful transition from high school to college. •FREE Advisors, Peer Mentors, & Tutors who are here to help you when challenges arise and provide you with the tools and information to be successful in college.•FREE Lunch time activities & programs where you get to know your Peer Mentors, fellow students, and have fun in your new college community!
