What are ACE courses?

e ACE courses are used to explore various majors and minors at UNL. Regardless of major, each student seeking a degree from UNL needs to take one class in each of the 10 ACE categories before graduation. erefore, every ACE course you take to explore also counts toward your degree regardless of the major you pick!

What are Exploratory courses?

Exploratory courses are typically introduction courses to a major you may be interested in. If you pursue a major in that area, the course can be applied toward the major. If you decide that major is not for you, the course may count as an elective or general education requirement.

What are Elective courses?

Elective courses are any courses taken that do not fulll a particular academic requirement (i.e. major or minor requirement). All UNL degrees include elective hours that allow students to earn credit through courses in any area of interest.
