WHAT IS IT VOKI?

Voki is a free service that lets you:

• Create customized avatars.

• Add voice to your Voki avatars.

• Post you Voki to any blog, website, or profile.

• Take advantage of voki’s learning resources.

• an application on-line and free to use and can be used on any computer

• a tool to foster creativity and improves learning

BENEFITS

• Improve message comprehension.

• Introduce technology in a fun way.

• Utilize Voki as an effective language tool.

• Significantly aid in the teaching of English.

• To interact with students in a fun.

USAGE IN TEACHING AND LEARNING?

Using Voki you can make different and funny classes. Add and manage your classes & students. Lesson pages automatically created. Allows educators to organize how their students interact with Voki. Leave Feedback on Students' Work. Voki Classroom Tutorials

HOW CAN SOMEBODY ACCESS INTO IT

1. In the Internet browser http://www.voki.com/ enter to access the application.On the home page, select Register. Opens in new window

2. ,

select Finish. The system will send an email to the box with a link to verify your account. Login to the link included in the email.

1. Email.2. Password.3. Confirm the password.4. Date of birth (month, day and year).5. Accept the terms and conditions.

3. 1. Login to the system with the user name and password.2. Select Create.3. This opens a new window with the options to create the character.4. Select Customize Your Character to customize your character.

Once selected Customize Your Character, choose in the gallery:

1. Select the tab to choose the head. By moving the arrows show all options.2. Hair to choose the hair.3. Mouth to choose the type of mouth.

4. From the tab color can change the color of the eyes, mouth, skin and hair.From the tab can tweak resize.

5. Select the tab for Clothing chooses clothing options.

6. Select the tab for Bling accessories include the character.Once personalized, select Done.

7. Select the Background button. This opens a new window with options to change the background.

To choose a custom background, select the icon when finished, select done.

8. In the Select Player button. This opens a new window with the options to change the frame.When finished, select done.

9. • Select to change the location and size of the character.• Magnifiers + and - towards or away the character.• Arrows position the character.

10. Select give it a voice.This opens a new window with options to include voice:

1. from the phone (not valid for Argentina).2. Compose a text to tell a character.3. Record from a microphone.4. from a computer file.

11. Select the Text tool.

1. Write the texts that tell the character.2. Select the language.3. Select the voice through prerecorded characters.4. Select Play to play.5. When finished, select Done

12. Select on the microphone icon. The computer must have a microphone installed.

1. Select Record to start recording.2. Select Save to save the recording3. When finished, select done.

13. 1. Select the Play icon2. Select Browse to browse and find the file you want to include.3. Select Play to play.4. When finished, select done.The audio formats that can include: WAV, MP3, WMA

14. 1. Once all the changes, select Publish to publish the character.2. Name window opens your scene. Fill in the name and select Save to save.

15. Production can be:1. Include a website.2. You can choose the size of the scene and get the code created for viewing on a blog or social network.3. Send to a friend via email.4. Send to a cell phone. Generates audio ringtone with the character.
