What is water craft?

Water craft is the knowledge that anglers collect each time they gofishing ready

for use on the next trip to the water side.

To learn your water craft you haveto take notice of what is going on all aroundyou both in and out of the water.

When you do this the information that you have will help you find and catch

more fish.

Why do some anglers always catch more or bigger fish than

others?

They use water craft to help and catchthe fish.

What information do you need?

Weather

The temperature (on the day you are fishing and also the past few days)

Air preasure ( high pressure with clear skys or low pressure with lots of

cloud)

Sun light Wind (strength and direction)

The water

Depths

Size of water

Features (weed, fallen trees, changes in depth)

Water flow on rivers or streams.

Rod Licences environment agency

You have to have a rod licence if you are over theage of 12

They run from the 1st of April to March 31st

You can get them online or at the post office

One licence lets you use two rods at any time in all waters in England and

wales

The rod licence must be carried at all times when fishing and shown to the

balif on request if you do not have one you can get up to 2500 pounds fineand all your takle taken of you.

Fishing Permits

Issued by fishing clubs and other owners of fishing rights may be avalliable as:

Anual club membership

Club cards, annual

Day tickets ( may be issued longer periods than a day)

In some areas free fishing is also avalliable

Permisstion to fish may also be given to individuals by owners individuality

What are the dangers off fishing?

How to mix ground bait !

Add dry ingredients to a bowl and mix well

Slowly add ater mixing the ingredients all the time

Leave to stand and soak for 5- 10 minutes

Add additional water if necessary

Riddle the mix to introduce air and remove lumps

Add additional bait and mix thourally

The finished mix should be light and fluffy
