parts . The words can be made of 2 or 3 different word parts.
These are called:The ROOT
The SUFFIXThe PREFIX
1)Root - it is usually a body part .Eg. Hepat = liver
2)Suffix Always comes at the end of the word. logy-study of
3)Prefix= Always comes at the beginning of the word sub = under
Medical Word=combination of 2 or 3 of these word parts.

Meanings of the word parts
Hepat = liver=part of the body=Root part of the word
‘O’ = combining vowel joins combines the word parts together.
