How does your product represent particular social groups?

My magazine represents teenagers and young Adult males that listen to pop music.The language I used has a informal style making it more relevant to my target audience of teens and young adults.Also the use of pictures represented the teens and young adults. However looking back on it I feel that I believe that some of my images may have not blended in the style of a pop magazine, This may be due to me analysing several magazine which were entirely focused on pop but more of a mixed genre magazine e.g. Q magazine.This may have had an impact on my target audience as it may and instead become more attractive to a more mature young adult to adult target audience. However the models I took pictures of are all in the target age group.

• I was able to represent my social group through research of pop magazines on the internet and also seeing what was available in my local library and supermarket. I tried to gather inspiration and ideas from these to implement to my music magazine though clothing, make up, positioning etc.

• Overall my magazine has reached to my target audience age group however I feel that my images may have drifted more towards mixed genre magazine.
