What makes a true friend?

Amy is one of my true friends

A survey has revealed that you clock

up a staggering 363 friends during

your life but only six of them will be

your true friends!

So, what makes a true friend? Well,

Amy’s my best friend and I’d say

she’s definitely a true friend. I’ve

known her since my first day of

school, when I was five.

We’ve had our ups and downs but

after a good heart-to-heart we always

manage to patch things up. After all,

they do say that honesty is the best

policy!

We share the same taste in music and we both love to cook but she’d kill me if

I told you about all the disasters we’ve had in the kitchen!

If I had to sum her up in three words they would be, trustworthy, sensitive and

creative. I can always count on her to be there when I need her.

We’re similar in a lot of ways but

we’ve never been joined at the hip

like some of our other mates.

There’s nothing worse than

someone cramping your style,

even if it she is your best friend!

As for me, I think she’d say I’m

very caring and responsible, I’m

always the one dishing out advice.

What I love most about our

friendship is that we’re on the

same wavelength. Nineteen years

is pretty good going so it looks like

we’re in it for the long haul!
