This term literally means "things to be done". It normally refers to the list of items fordiscussion at a meeting, but politicians also use it as a jargon term meaning "things we wantto achieve" For example PML ( Q) gives 5 point agenda in Jan 11 (elimination of inflation, better condition of peace and stopping target killing in Karachi and Balochistan, foreigninvestment l amount which is present in foreign banks should brought back in Pakistan and

those who eliminate there loans in 1985 their name list should be published.

    Government Agenda:

Currently there are many things that should be address but Government is focusing on fewof them & also not able to fully implement his agenda.

i)Energy Generation:Pakistan has been facing an unprecedented energy crisis since the last few years. Theproblem becomes more severe during summers. However, this winter was no different.During the peak crisis there was a power outage of 3-4 hours everyday. Those without

generators and UPS faced incredible problems. The prices of both continued to increase dueto a sharp increase in their demand. Rental power plant was a poor project &not better forcommon man & even Government itself.

ii)Inefficient Economic Management:Finance is life blood of any country .The website of the Federal Ministry ofFinancestates that its mission is to pursue sound and equitable economic policies that put

Pakistan on the path of sustained economic development and macroeconomic stabilitywith a view to continuously and significantly improving the quality of life of all citizens

through prudent and transparent public financial management carried out by dedicatedprofessionals.

During the last three years, real GDP increased at an annual average rate of three per centwhereas commodity producing sectors recorded even a lower annual growth rate of only

1.9 per cent in the same period. Govt. is trying to control improve economic system so thatlife of a common man is trouble-free.
