You will be going on a 5 day, 4 night backpack
trip in the Beartooth Mountains. This will stretch
you physically and emotionally. It will not be
easy! Our desire is that through this opportunity
you will be challenged to grow spiritually as you
are away from the normal distractions of life.
The cost for this trip will be determined as we know
how many are going. Your cost will cover your
food, transportation and specialized safety equip-
ment for the trip (GPS and Satellite phone).
You will leave Thursday, August 8 and return Mon-
day, August 12. The group will meet Wednesday
night, August 7, to get the gear packed properly for
the trip.
In order to plan and prepare for this trip, we need
you to sign-up by July 15 and pay a deposit of
$100.
All Students attending will need to fill out the re-
lease form and student covenant attached to this
brochure. Students will also need a copy of a family
insurance card on file with Pastor Jesse. If a stu-
dent has any special medical conditions, these
should be communicated on the medical release
form. Mitch will contact you for further clarifica-
tion of these medical conditions.
If you have any questions, please contact Mitch
Wardell at 697-8170 or Pastor Jesse at 696-5172.
Guidelines Because of the dangers associated with traveling and
the need for cooperation in a large group setting I un-
derstand that I need to be responsible on this trip and
follow these guidelines.
GUIDELINES 1. I understand that I will be expected to keep the
youth leaders informed of my whereabouts at all times
and leaving the group or retreat area without a leader
or leader's permission is dangerous and not permissi-
ble.
2. I understand that I will NOT show any PDA
(public display of affection) with members of the op-
posite sex if I'm not married.
3. I understand the need for separate sleeping arrange-
ments and I will honor this.
4. I understand that I am not allowed to POSSESS or
USE tobacco, alcohol or any other type of illegal
drugs.
5. I understand that I am not allowed to POSSESS or
USE firearms, knives or fireworks on this trip.
CONSEQUENCES Guidelines 1-2 These actions will be confronted once and I will be
spending every waking moment with a youth leader if
they are repeated.
Guidelines 3-5 These actions will result in my being sent home.
TRAVELING ETIQUETTE This trip is a ministry trip and it’s intended to build-
up and encourage all who go. No cruel talk, back-
stabbing or mean teasing will be tolerated.
COMMITMENT I/We understand all of the guidelines and the conse-
quences if they are not followed.
