Celebrating Community through Quilt Making

Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 12pm to 1pm Jarvis Hall 204

Join us as we celebrate the Black History Month through art and conversation about quilt making and how it relates to Black History Month. Above  is  one  example  of  a  Gee’s  Bend

Quilt. We will also continue to work on our quilt blocks. There will be a follow on day Friday, February 21, 2014 starting at 11:30 am in Jarvis Hall 204. Please feel free to bring projects

that you have worked on in the past or are contemplating for the future.

If you know how to sew and quilt or would like to learn about quilt making, please join in the fun. Our materials were generously donated by Cabbage Rose Quilting & Fabrics of Fort

Worth, located on Montgomery Street.

Please feel free to bring your lunch as beverages are provided. Please contact Dr. Cheryl Taylor @ [email protected] for more information as well as to

RSVP this event.

Future dates for quilting fun: March 20 & 21, 2014; April 17 & 18, 2014
