ODM 8.10.2 as a Long Term Support Release

– Extract from the ODM 8.10.2 announce:“ODM V8.10.2 uses the IBM continuous delivery (CD) support model, after adopting this model with ODM V8.10. For additional information on how ODM V8.10.2 uses CD, see the Terms and conditions section.

In addition to ODM V8.10.2 being a CD update package, it is also declared as a Long Term Support Release (LTSR), with product defect fixes and security updates for a minimum period of two years from its general availability date. For reminder, product defect fixes and security updates are only available for the two, most current CD updates and all active LTSRs.”

– Allow 2 or more decision service branches to reference the same rule content, from a shared project branch

– Benefits: • Make a change once (to a BOM for instance) in a given project

branch, and automatically propagate this update to all other decision services branches referencing that shared branch.

• Facilitate migrations from classic rule projects using shared branches

– Feature only available for regular branches (not for governed releases – activities)

After updating the branch dependency, any change in branch main of Common BOM is also immediately visible from branch rev-ds2 of DS 2: branch is shared again
