Teknion continues to expand the Zones furniture collection with new products including Modular Seating,the Long Workshop Table, and Curved Ledge Tables. In addition, Quilted Fabric Buffers are now available on Enclosures and Screens.

zones modular seatingZones Modular Seating is a lounge collection withinthe broader Zones offering. It includes fully upholsteredstraight or curved bench modules, plus accessories. Modular Seating is designed to work with and complementother Zones products – Casual Tables, Ledge Tables, Lighting, Sled Lounge Chairs and other chairs – therebyexpanding the Zones collection’s planning possibilitiesand applications in architectural spaces. Visually, thenew seating continues the original Zones themes, witha strategic focus on creating a softer domestic mood with a rich and layered mix-and-match vocabulary.

Zones Modular Seating can be used by itself, or in conjunction with coordinating curved Ledge Tables,Long Work Tables and accessories, providing multipleconfigurations while addressing the needs of today’swork behaviors and planning scenarios.

Modular seating is designed to simplify specificationand offering, while maximizing planning capabilities. The units combine to create everything from straight runs to open-serpentine planning. The signature open-serpentine planning capability is enhanced by mixing high-, low- or backless units, and varying their direction, height and material finishes. Each unit connects differentactivities within a single footprint.

Power and data is optional, and simple to specify. Integrated tables and lighting can be included within the run, or on the ends. Various upholstery options can be specified in single or dual applications to suitrequired durability needs. Modular Seating’s durable construction for commercial application exceeds the BIFMA weight capacity standard.

With Zones Modular Seating, the planning possibilitiesare endless.

zones long workshop tablesThe Long Workshop Table extends the existing Zoneswork table collection with a communal surface forimpromptu collaboration and independent work. It providesa natural place for people to come together and work. The Long Workshop Table is available in standard lengthsof 12, 16, 18 and 24 feet (3.7, 4.9, 5.5 and 7.3 m), and a depth of 48 inches (122 cm).

zones quilted fabric buffersQuilted Fabric Buffers present a more texturizedalternative to existing Zones Flat Fabric Buffers. They can be used to partially cover the interior or exteriorof Enclosures and Screens to enhance aesthetics andperceived acoustical properties. Available in select fabrics and colorways.

zones curved ledge tablesFollowing the launch of the Straight Ledge Table in September of 2017, Teknion is introducing a curved version. The Curved Ledge Table provides additional surfacearea and is optimized to support casual touchdown areas around the Zones modular sofa. With its 42-inch (107cm) tall, and shallow 18-inch (46 cm) depth at bar height, the Curved Ledge Table is perfect for additional guests to perchor stand. Curved Ledge Table sizing matches all modulesof the Modular Sofa. Electrics are accommodated throughthe use of under-mounted casual power bars, or user-edgeUSB modules.

altos landscapeAltos Landscape is a major enhancement to the Altoswall system that is horizontally planned with a functionalcollection of wall-integrated furniture. This uniquecombination gives opportunity for layered off-moduleplanning applications that maximize the usable spacein an environment, and minimize the necessary costof architectural product on the floorplate.

Altos Landscape provides the same refined Altos aesthetic, and includes both height-adjustable and fixed-height desks, a task light, storage options, a shelving program and significantly enhanced acoustic fascia programwith both soft and hard fascia materials.

Unlike conventional vertically oriented wall systems, Altos Landscape facilitates off-module planning along the horizontal datum. This increased flexibility in planning gives opportunity for the wall-integratedshelving, storage, lighting and desk offering to be optimized for the environment around it.

Altos Landscape fascias options include Solid Wood, Glass, Whiteboard, Fabric-Wrapped, Tackable Fabric, Acoustic Fabric, or Acoustic Metal. Fascias are flexiblein their type and location, and can be reconfigured afterinstallation, or swapped out with other fascia types without modifying the interior wall structure.

altos deskAltos Desk is the first height-adjustable desk to marketthat integrates with a standard 4-inch (10 cm) wall. It offers flexibility as a single- and double-sided solutionwithin the standard wall. The second desk can be easilyadded after installation of the single-sided desk due to a shared interior mechanism. The nature of thisintegrated design maximizes functional space withinan environment, eliminates visible cables and promotesergonomic practices within the workplace.

coordinated architectural interiors finish programTeknion is now offering an expanded and coordinated finish program across the Altos, Optos and Focus architectural wall systems. The program, in whichhardware and component finishes coordinate with eight standard paint finishes, provides a coherent aesthetic continuity when different walls are planned together, while aligning with current market trends.

Paint finishes are available at the same price point as the anodized finish, and with standard lead times.

In today’s workplace of varying work heights and postures, stools are becoming increasingly popular. The Around Swivel Stool complements the Around Swivel Task Chair, designed by Justus Kolberg and introduced by Teknion in 2017.

The Around Swivel Stool’s seat height ranges from 20 3/4 to 28 3/4 inches (52.7 to 73 cm), making it

ideal for counter-height applications. It is available in both the Upholstered Back and Mesh Back models.
