Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival 2020

Now in its 4th year and set to be as brie-lliant as ever, our celebration of cheese (and much

more) features a week of delicious events throughout the Yorkshire Dales National Park

and its neighbour, the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The festival will open with a bang on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September at the

Wensleydale Creamery, Hawes. This free two-day event at the home of Wallace and

Gromit’s favourite nibble will feature tastings, pairings, and cheese and butter making

demonstrations, as well as hosting over 30 local producers of cheese, bread, gin, chocolate

and more showcasing their wares.

‘The Final Bite’ at the Dales Countryside Museum on Sunday 20 September will close this

year’s celebration of our magnificent local produce. The farmers market style mini-festival

will also offer fun activities such as a workshop where you can learn how to needlefelt

mice!
