ADULT EDUCATION

Teaching assignments
The organisation defines its needs and aims in terms of staff development (European Development Plan) and applies for a mobility project consisting of various individual mobilities
A consortia (lead by a local or regional school authority or a coordinating body) can also apply
Duration of a mobility: 2 days – 2 months (+ travel time)
Duration of a mobility project: between 12 and 24 months
Funding: pre-defined unit costs (travel, individual support, organizational support, course fees, special needs)
Application deadline: as a rule 1 application round per year (in 2016 application deadline was 2nd Feb), in some counties also second round in the autumn

Depending on the objectives and the composition of the Strategic Partnership, projects may be of two types:
Strategic Partnerships supportinginnovation

relevant to the field of education, training and youth that is mostly impacted

Different kinds of partnerships: projects may vary widely in terms of size, complexity, experience, expected results, grant amount,…
Multilateral: at least 3 organisations from 3 different programme countries (exceptions: school-to-school partnerships (SE) and regional cooperation led by at least two local/regional authorities from two different countries may also be bilateral)
Duration of a partnership: 12-36 months
Various types of mobilities: Transnational project meetings, Short term exchanges of groups of pupils, Long term study mobility of pupils, Short term joint staff training events, Long term teaching or training assignments
Application deadline: 1 application round per year (in 2016 application deadline was 31st March)
Key Action 2: Strategic Partnerships
Any organisation established in a Programme country can be the applicant=coordinator (on behalf of all other partners participating in the project), e.g.: a university, a teacher training institution, a
school, a non-profit organisation, an enterprise, a public body, a cultural organisation, an NGO, a library, … (Exception school-to-school projects: only schools can be applicants + partners)
Under certain restricted conditions (substantial added value to the project as a whole), an organisation from a Partner Country can participate in the project (Exception: not possible in school-to-school projects)
The application is written in cooperation with all project partners – language of the project
Multibeneficiary contracts: the coordinating organisation receives the EU grant for the whole project and is responsible for the overall project management, reporting to the NA, and transferring their share of the budget to the partners (Exception School Education school-to-
school-partnerships (KA219): monobeneficiarycontracts => each school has a contract with its own
NA and is responsible for its own budget)
