Query Based Tabs

A contract BP record needs the ability to show all change orders as

well as invoices against that same contract. Also, while on that same

contract, I may want to issue a change order right there against the

same contract.

An equipment BP record needs the ability to show the history of all

work orders performed on this piece of equipment. Also, while I am on

that equipment record and browsing through the WO history, I may

want to create a new WO against the same.

Query Based Tabs

A mini BP log within a BP that displays records based on a pre-defined

query.

Setup BPs in a Parent/Child relationship.

– E.g. Display all Work Orders for an Asset.

Can specify the parameters to load BPs.

– E.g. load only Active and Pending records.

Supported BP types

Query Based Tabs

Compute summary information on a given

data element to the Parent BP. – E.g. Count of Active Work Orders for an Asset.

Create a new BP directly from Query

Summary Curves

As a Cost Engineer, there is a need to summarize all commitments and

trends for a project to be able to have an interactive updated EFC

(Estimated Forecast at Complete).

As all cost information is allocated by WBS ; the summary curves need

to be consolidated by WBS.

Business Case


Auto add new curves to Summary curve

When a new cash flow curve is created, automatically add the cash

flow curve to a Summary curve.

At the time of creation of a cash flow curve choose 1 or more Summary

curve(s) to add this new curve.

This is an optional step and a new curve is added to the Summary

curve only if option is chosen by the user.

Detailed WBS codes in Summary Curves

When two or more cash flow curves are summarized, show WBS

details for the cash flow curves (when possible).

Detailed WBS codes in Summary Curves

When creating a Summary cash flow curve if WBS details are available

for all of the curves, summarize the data at individual WBS levels and

show them in the details.

If there is a curve in the selection which does not have “WBS level”

details then the existing Summary behavior will continue to prevail.

Configurable Unifier help system

Unifier Help is delinked from the

Unifier Application.

By default the help is linked to the

“docs.oracle.com” URL.

Customers can download the help

system and deploy it in their local

servers.

Local help system URL is entered

in Unifier Configurator.


Improved Password security

Increased security on how the

passwords are encrypted and

stored in the database.

All passwords in the Unifier

system are encrypted by Oracle

approved Crypto algorithm.

Change is transparent to the user.


Other Enhancements

SharePoint 2010 can be used as

content repository.

CMIS compliant system support

– Customers can now use any content

management server that is CMIS

compliant. e.g. Alfresco

Unifier can be deployed on the

Websphere 8.

Project In-bound email now

conforms to Oracle standard

(suffix email id pattern).

“File Transfer Application” is

renamed to “File Transfer Utility”.

Re-enabled Mapping capabilities.

All business process types that currently support multiple tabs have been extended to support 8 tabs.

Line Item mapping from references during auto-creation - Copy line items from a referenced business process onto an auto-created business process.

Ability to calculate and display total and/or average value on integer, currency, and/or decimal amounts in a line item grid.

Ability to add business process data pickers to shell attribute forms.

Ability to add business process pickers and business process data pickers to schedule attribute forms.

Cash Flow Enhancements

Preserve forecasted values and do not replace forecast with Actuals until user specified date.

Ability to modify forecast information for the current period in addition to a future periods.

Hide incremental spike in forecast curve when Actuals replace the Forecast in the current month.

Ability to honor Profile Distribution, keeping time lapse into consideration when forecast end dates are changed.

When connecting Forecast curves to Actuals, leave future WBS undisturbed.



Technology Enhancements

Ability to upload multiple templates of type RTF, PDF, Excel and eText

for BI Reports and Custom Reports.

Preventive Maintenance

When a Work Order is auto-created from a PM Book, it will carry

forward and display the source Asset reference in a data picker on the

PM Book.

Asset Information is automatically carried over to PM Book and Work

Order.

No need for data picker query configuration on Administration side.

An Asset BP record creates a

PM Book BP record.

The PM Book record holds an asset data picker that gets populated with the source asset information.

The PM Book auto-creates a Work Order record for the asset's maintenance.

The Work Order record displays the asset information from the PM Book.

Summary Curves

As a Cost Engineer, there is a need to have a default summary of all commitments and trends for a

project to be able to have an interactive updated EFC (Estimated Forecast at Complete).

Need advanced filtering capabilities on Summary Curve by following parameters

i. WBS selected by users : As Projects are split into several work packages, a set of WBS

represents each work-package. There is a need to be able to customize the summary curve by

selecting a set of WBS.

ii. By period : As Projects could last several years, and as budgets are approved on a yearly basis,

there is a need to customize the summary curve by time range..

iii. By Curve type : As the summary curve is consolidated by curve type, there is a need to be able

to customize the summary curve by curve type : commitments, trends, forecasts etc.
