Senior enlisted advisor for the Army National Guard and Army Reserve transition programs. Responsible for the daily command and control of the program and staff as well as advised and supported the Commanding General of the 101st Airborne (AASLT) on enlisted and officer transition policy including education, training, promotion, UCMJ actions, health/welfare and morale of transitioning Soldiers with follow on support to all 54 States and Territories. Responsible for program budget execution over 100 Thousand dollars and government purchase cardholder. Used RETAIN to track appointments, transition dates, unit rotations, bonuses and marketing information.

Senior Marketing and Advertising Supervisor/ Sergeants Major

May 2009 – March 2012

Army National Guard, Arlington, VA

Executed command and control of a Marketing and Advertising budget of 500 Million dollars. Conducted Nation wide market analysis and developed marketing strategies and partnerships for all 54 States and Territories ensuring the best return on investments for taxpayer dollars. Planned coordinated and developed print and multimedia advertising tailored to the national strength maintenance plan. Developed and obtained promotional items in support of both national and state marketing plans and needs. Evaluated the effectiveness of local media campaigns and provided feedback to better meet the needs of the ARNG. Developed and trained a national Marketing and Advertising course to ensure standardization of best practices nationwide.

Principal staff advisor to the Commander of an organization providing direction and support for a large training installation. Assessed and reported the organizational climate and mission readiness across all staff and functional areas. Principal advisor in the areas of operations administration, logistics, resourcing/budget, human services and equal opportunity. Supervised the organization’s leadership training program, developed, and implemented the continuing training program for Senior technical staff and supervisors. Planned, programmed and managed the Army Training Resource Requirements System (ATRRS) for the Operations staff as well as developed and published the Quota Monitoring Plan (QMP) that is used for planning for funding and scheduling training.

General Manager/ Master Sergeant December 2004 – April 2007Army National Guard, North Little Rock, AR

Senior enlisted advisor for the Army National Guard General Education Diploma Program. Developed, designed, and implemented the program from conception to operation. Coached, counseled, mentored and supervised 52 personnel including contract staff. Responsible for the daily command and control of the program and staff as well as advised and supported the Strength Maintenance Division Chief on enlisted issues including education, training, promotion, UCMJ actions, health/welfare and morale of the staff and students. Supported and advised the ARNG GED plus program optimizing available facilities and personnel resources in training the students. Ensured that over approximately 3000 students’ yearly received GED classroom instruction and training. Responsible for program budget execution over 8 million dollars, contract officer technical representative, and government purchase cardholder. Developed conception and operational designs for the new 18.4 million GED Plus Complex. Coordinated enlistment option requirements, transportation, clothing, pay, meals and training with all 54 States and Territories to ensure successful reception, and integration training for all incoming Soldiers.

Small Group Leader/Instructor/Writer/ Sergeant First Class February 2000 – December 2004 Army National Guard, North Little Rock, AR

Trained and mentored Recruiting and Retention NCOs in the areas of recruiting, leadership, performance evaluations, and various software systems. Instructed over 700 students in proper marketing and sales techniques, resulting in a 98% graduation rate. Facilitated meetings with instruction managers throughout the United States to design lesson plans and other instructional materials. Coordinated and traveled to 48 of the 54 States and Territories to conduct on site evaluations and remedial training and well as requested sustainment training.
