Anne Parker Speaks to SBI

www.carolinacreations.

Anne Parker shared her very heartfelt and informative talk about the Blue Star Mothers with the Club last week.

Blue Star Mothers is an organization of mothers who share the pride and support they have for their sons and daughters, the men and women, who are or have served our country as members of the Armed Forces of the United States.

Anne is the president and founder of the Grand Strand Blue Star Mothers. Blue Star Mothers was formally chartered by the United States Congress in 1960 but was first conceived and started operating as early as January 1942. Since the chartering of the Grand Stand chapter in 2008, the local organization has mailed over 500 care packages to deployed troops and raised over $10,000 to support their activities.

If you know of South and North Carolina mothers whose sons or daughters are serving in the Armed Forces please encourage them to contact Anne by calling (843)390-5639 or by email at [email protected].

More information regarding programs, activities and chapter meetings can be found by visiting www.GrandStrandBlueStarMothers.com.
