LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Dear Friends and Customers,

Since 1980, the year I have founded Watermaster, I prepared several letters for brochures, websites, mission statements etc., I feel that this time is different! Treating water is still a mission and a noble one, and Watermaster is more than ever deeply involved and dedicating all its resources for this purpose. Water is scarcer and more polluted. Regional events and actions may be based to a large degree on water conditions.

Watermaster, along the years, grew from a private family business to a corporate holding group, MHG, Al Miyah, including several independent firms in Lebanon and Qatar. The main new developments in the firm’s structure are:

A Board consisting of several members, not all of them related to the founding family with a CEO appointed for five years.

Establishment of three main new activities: Fluidesign, WaterCenter and turn key projects, especially in WELLNESS. Splitting the activities in several separate firms all under the umbrella of Al Miyah Holding group.

Fluidesign: addresses all consultancy needed for water projects, from A to Z.

WaterCenter: is a trading firm with a very modern up-to-date show room, aimed at serving the individual with five main sections: Wellness, Outdoor, HSE (health, safety and environment), water treatment and waste water treatment.

All above activities and firms fall and fit under the WELLNESS concept. Today, all of us need a certain “wellness” either in: the kind of water we drink or use, the quality of waste water we dispose of, the stress and tension relief so much needed today, the safety crucial issues, the energy saving while protecting the environment.

The future of water treatment under the wellness umbrella is bright. Watermaster lately, has made a radical change and improvement, and personally am so optimistic of the positive outcome in serving our environment and clientele.

Finally, I am deeply indebted to all of you who contributed to the expansion of Watermaster: the devoted high spirited team, the supporting and trusting Directors and to the limitless confidence and loyalty of our customers.

Watermaster was founded in 1980 by my father Eng. Khalil Boueri, who is currently the Chairman and Visionary Leader of the firm. Since its start, he created a young and innovative Culture along the firm, together with high values of Trust and Care the related stakeholders and primarily the CUSTOMER.

Today, after more than 34 years of experience in the market, WATERMASTER is being restructured into AL MIYAH HOLDING GROUP in order to keep pace with fast technological changes of our industry and to be more focused in order to serve our clientele better. Since 70% of the Human Body or the Earth Surface is composed of Water, we do believe that Water is the noblest Element and we shall pursue our keen endeavors in reaching the ideal solutions for the Well-Being of people. This led to Al Miyah Holding Group motto: “When water becomes a passion!!!”, where Water as an element is in the service of Wellness!

LETTER FROM THE CEO

Fluid Design “Aqua Architects and Engineers” is a new consultancy firm which was created by separating Watermaster’s experienced design team and its dedicated resources, for responding better to clients’ calls.

Nowadays, to secure our customers with the fully engineered solution, with the most recent technical and aesthetic innovations, a new design entity reveals to be mandatory!

On the other hand, Watermaster “Water Treatment Contractors” has grown into a Specialized Turn-Key Contractor which operate still in two main divisions:

Recreational: Wellness Centers, Swimming Pools & Water Features

Treatment: Water Treatment & Waste Water Treatment.

The scope extends along the divisions from Design Concepts, Turn-key Projects Realization and After Sales Services. In short, we are today organized to undertake TURN-KEY project from A to Z with proper quality control and planning while meeting the budget.

Finally, the WaterCenter “Your Wellness Partner!” emerged naturally and straight from the need of our customers. We felt that a big segment of our market, more precisely End-Users (Private Residential and Commercial) needed a center where they can come with their partners or Interior Designers and experience the different wellness elements in order to upgrade their life to a better wellbeing state. WaterCenter was an innovative move from Al Miyah Holding Group to separate our new “Retail Driven” entity from our existing “Projects Driven” company Watermaster.

To conclude, I would like to note that Al Miyah Holding Group has only recently been established and it has a 10 years strategy in the MENA region. Taking into account the political and financial risks of the area, we shall be announcing along the next years our projects and plans. We commit to you our dear friends that we shall continuously innovate and evolve, in order to provide you the best wellness solutions to upgrade your life! 1981 Eng. Khalil Boueri establishes Electro Mechanical Consultants & Contractors SARL (EMCC) in Lebanon, a professional private firm, specialised in electro mechanical design and contracting works.

2001Watermaster launches its operations in Iraq. Due to unfortunate war and unstable situation, operation was shut down at later stage.

1982EMCC becomes Watermaster SARL, with main scope of work being MEP, HVAC, Water Treatment & Swimming Pools.

2004Watermaster becomes Certified Manufacturer, and initiates assembling operation of imported products for specific water treatment applications.

1986Watermaster SARL expands its portfolio of services to include Wellness solutions, i.e. Sauna, Steam Room, and others.

2006Opening of Watermaster Qatar W.L.L., in partnership with Investment Holding Group, a major milestone in the expansion strategy in Gulf countries.

1997Watermaster undertakes major projects in Yemen, Turkmenistan, Syria, and Egypt as part of of the company’s expansion strategy in the Middle East.

2009Watermaster Integrated Design & Architecture/Civil Department matures from specialised MEP subcontractor into Specialised Turnkey Contractor.

2012Fluid Design is established to cater to the increasing demand for specialised water & wellness design services.

2013Opening of the first WaterCenter outlet as a full fledge retail wellness solution provider.

2013Al Miyah Holding is established as mother company to existing specialised experienced companies.

In addition, Al Miyah Holding is a major sponsor of PASSA - a non-profit association that was established in 2012 in Lebanon, currently also operating in Qatar. PASSA aims at creating awareness against the unnecessary risks of accident or death resulting from the usage of Pools and Spas.

PASSA is also heavily invested in protecting the users of the said facilities.
