The Family van der Heiden has a strong connection with cheese

throughout many generations. Originally Fam. van der Heiden

were farmers in Stolwijk. The milk from the cows in the

meadow was gathered by Adriana van der Heiden

to make our famous Stolkse Boeren.

in ripening and maturing of Dutch Cheese.

By ripening in a natural and traditional way, and by

dealing with the constant climate changes in our warehouses,

Van der Heiden has become a leading Cheese ripener.

By ripening solely on taste we have managed

to create a special position in the market.

Our cheesemaster follows the ripening process

of our cheese on a daily base.

Thanks to our many years of experience,

we are able to adjust the ripening process,

so the desired flavour can develop optimally.

With love for their profession, our farmers produce our Stolkse Boeren.

Stolkse Boeren are traditionally hand-made from meadow milk.

In time of modern technologies Stolkse Boeren remains pure craftmanship.

According to an authentic recipe and by maturing solely in a traditional way,

Stolkse Boeren creates its own unique taste! This cheese is lactose- and

gluten free and produced in Stolwijk, close to the city of Gouda.

Chèvrano, a very tasty goat cheese, made in the traditional way. Then the

Chèvrano matures on untreated wooden shelves in our cheese warehouse

until they have the perfect taste.

The Chèvrano goat cheese range is available in a wide variety of flavours

and ages. From fresh soft cheese to a delicious mature and old, hard cheese,

all unique and naturally aged.

The benefits of goat’s milk are well known. The cheese retains all its properties

and vitamins. Chèvrano goat cheese is a suitable alternative for people with

cow’s milk allergy. Lactose intolerance consumers can often tolerate goat’s milk

products better than cow’s milk products.

There is Gouda and there is Roemer. Roemer is made of the milk from

grazing cows in the open field. Only this meadow milk is good enough for

our Roemer. All Roemer cheese is lactose- and gluten free. By maturing in

a traditional way, each Roemer cheese creates its own unique taste.

Roemer is made according to a traditional recipe in a small cheese factory

in the province of North-Holland.

Our Tradition range fills the gap for clients who are dealing with import

duties for cheese. This unique and in-house developed product range is

produced with a small amount of vegetable fat. It has the same taste and

unique features as traditional cheese, with the advantage of avoiding import

duties. Each country has its own legislation regarding import duties.

Grandano is a unique Dutch cheese for anyone who loves the Italian way

of life. The visible salt and protein crystals gives our Grandano it’s sweet

piquant taste. Temperamento Italiano.

The Dutch Farmer, a typically Dutch natural product, traditionally made by

hand from pasture milk. The Dutch Farmer is traditional and pure craftsman-

ship. In a time of modern techniques making farmer cheese is and will always

be old-fashioned handwork.

The Dutch Farmer is produced in Stolwijk, a city close to Gouda. This delicious

cheese is available from mild mature to extra old. A tradition we cherish and

where we can be proud of!

This special and great looking cheese is matured at high temperatures

of 16°C with high humidity. This creates a creamy cheese with a beautiful

sweet taste.
