Where Riches is Everlasting
Bob Chilcott arr. Edward Mylechreest
Unity Series
One Christmas night I was at a friend’s house, when this
really catchy choral piece came on through the speaker – I
was hooked! We listened to it about 20 times, and it was stuck
in my head all night… And so in the morning I decided to do
a quick arrangement of it for brass! It is the brilliant; Where
Riches is Everlasting by Bob Chilcott.
Percussion is key in this arrangement, but along with all of
the other parts, has been kept very simple, with learner bands
in mind. This is a good chance for some audience
participation – the more percussion items the better!
Encourage the ensemble to maintain excitement and drive
(particularly the underlying parts), whilst paying close
attention to dynamic markings throughout.
A powerpoint presentation is available for this work, free of
charge – please contact us at [email protected] for
further information.
I pray you be merry and sing with me
