Ways to check your Lotto tickets:• Use the Ticket Checkers that are available at all lottery

INSTANT Tickets:• INSTANT tickets can be checked using the Ticket Checker,

or ask an OLG lottery retailer to check for you. Completely scratch the area containing the Scratch & Scan symbol, located on the left side of the front of your ticket, to reveal a barcode.

If a retailer checks your ticket:• For winning tickets the lottery terminal will play a winner

message and the customer display screen will display a winner video. If the winning amount is $5,000 or more, the OLG Support Centre will immediately call the retail location to speak with you.

• For non-winning tickets, a message will play from the lottery terminal informing you that the ticket is not a winner.

• For all validations, winners and non-winners, the retailer will return the ticket to you along with the Customer Receipt. The retailer will tear through the barcode if they pay out the prize.

• For winning tickets with draws remaining, the retailer will return the validated ticket, Customer Receipt and an Exchange Ticket for the draws remaining.

Insider Prize ClaimsFor claimants who fall within OLG’s Insider Win defi nition, the claim process can take several weeks to complete. It is the responsibility of the claimants to advise OLG of their relationship to OLG upon claiming their prize. To determine if you are an Insider, or meet the defi nition of Insider Win, visit olg.ca, or call the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098.

Important Reminders• Avoid making any extra markings on your ticket as this may cause your ticket to be unreadable by OLG and may delay the prize claim process.

• When claiming a prize, be prepared to answer some questions to verify ownership of the winning ticket. If someone other than you purchased the ticket, please call 1-800-387-0098 for directions on how to claim your prize.

• For Lotto tickets, you must claim your prize within 12 months of the draw date.

• For INSTANT tickets, you must claim your prize by the expiry date printed on the back of each ticket.

• For Sports Lottery tickets, you must claim your prize within 12 months of the last event on the ticket.

Group WinnersVisit olg.ca for complete group prize claiming procedures and to download and print the Lottery Prize Claim Group List and the Lottery Prize Claim Declaration Form – Group.

• Provide a list of all your group members by completingthe Lottery Prize Claim Group List. Each member must clearly print and sign his or her name and provide address and telephone information.

• For wins of $1,000 to under $10,000, each member must submit one piece of valid government-issued ID with date of birth. For wins of $10,000 and over, each group member must provide one piece of valid government-issued photo ID with date of birth and a second piece of valid ID. If you are submitting photocopies, please copy front and back of each piece of ID. See chart in this brochure for acceptable forms of ID.

• Provide a completed Lottery Prize Claim Declaration Form – Group for each winner. If your group is claiming a prize of $10,000 or more at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, you can expect the process to take several hours. It is recommended that the group attend the Prize Centre in the morning or call 1-800-387-0098 to make an appointment. A Prize Centre Representative will return your call within 48 hours.

At RetailAll retailers can pay up to and including $50. Retailers who have a lottery terminal can pay up to $999.90 based on cash availability.

• Sign your ticket and present it to the retailer for validation.
