Dunstan Thomas, an expert in providing disclosure solutions to the highly- regulated pensions market for more than 20 years, has applied its expertise and already mature Imago-branded suite of technology products to the task of meeting asset managers’ new MiFID II reporting and disclosure requirements.
Having unpicked MiFID II disclosure requirements, we spotted that asset managers were not focusing enough on the investor reporting and pre- and post-sale illustration requirements within MiFID II. Because we have such depth in understanding of how the data for these types of illustrations and reports can be brought together, tailored to specific audiences and then presented both online and in paper form, it made sense to offer ready solutions to meet asset managers’ needs ahead of tight MiFID II compliance deadline.

Back in January, Dunstan Thomas embarked on a wide-ranging project to probe the level of engagement
that specific consumer groups have with the retirement market and financial planning
more generally.
Baby Boomer Research
Millennial Generation StudyWe kicked off with a nationwide consumer study of Millennials, the generation that are mostly in their 20s and early 30s today. We asked 1,000 23-36 years olds a wide range of questions about their hopes of owning their home, earning and savings habits, the extent of their reliance on the Bank of Mum & Dad, and much more besides. We also asked them what impressed them about their financial product providers and what left them somewhat underwhelmed.
We probed what good online experiences look like for them and found out which financial apps they were flocking to and why. The findings sparked a good deal of interest which led to invitations to speak at industry conferences and on trade publication online roundtable debates.

Such was the success of this exercise that we decided to extend our customer engagement research activity in the Baby Boomer generation, kicking off a second nationwide study reaching over 1,000 54-71 year olds. This time we are looking at this ‘better off’ segment as they go about planning for and moving into retirement. How are they coping with new Pensions Freedom choices at-retirement? How many of them are getting regulated financial advice and why, and again how far are their pensions providers helping them with key at-retirement decisions?

Teleplan wanted to create a branded website for KPN’s customers to record repairs of electronic devices as a part of the customer agreement. Teleplan are responsible for providing backend services, however they needed assistance with web design and coding elements of this project. Dunstan Thomas were chosen due to our ability to provide an excellent solution in a demanding timeframe.
