(To Paolo which are the main signals perceived by the UNECE)Which solutions in acquisition, processing and integrating data from administrative and statistical source do you plan to adopt in your Country? (To Paolo: Which are the ones mostly adopted in the UNECE context?)

Summary of the introductory keynote speech:The need of frequently updated and georeferenced data and the operational complexity of a census puts pressure for innovations of census features pushing to a larger use of administrative sources in two main possible main direction: -Register based census;-Combined censusdeveloping various methodological approaches, using different combinations of sources (such as a full enumeration, ad hoc sample surveys, or data from existing sample surveys) to supplement data from registers. As a result, there is a diversification in the census methodology adopted, which makes more complicated than in the past classifying the various census methods.A more intensive use of administrative sources requires advances in their quality evaluation and treatment. In this scenario, new frontiers characterized by new products created through the acquisition, processing and integrating data from administrative and statistical source has a remarkable significance in the development of basic infrastructures, new methods and tools.*
