New Winter Jacket for Uniform Shop

Quite a few parents in our community have been asking about a school winter jacket,

so children can be warm and dry during recess and lunch in the colder months. Our

uniform manager, Kim Engi, has sourced a jacket that is navy blue, waterproof,

fleece lined and also has a hood. At School Council on Monday evening, approval

was given to the purchase of the new winter jacket. Please see the photo in today’s

newsletter of the jacket. The jacket will come with the embroided letters WHPS and

is available in sizes 4-16 for $39 and adult sizes S-3XL for $42. Orders need to be

in batches of 25 and will be intially available on QKR for purchase.

from next week, Monday 3rd September. All students will be required to wear their

broad brimmed hats outdoors. Hats can be purchased from the school uniform

shop for $13. All students without hats will need to be under the hat tree during

breaks.

PFG News School Fair Thursday 8th November

Our next Fair Meeting will be early in Term 4 – please look out for more news when this will be. We trust all students have bought

home a note requesting a specific donation for them to donate towards our fair – ranging from prizes to food items. If you did not

get this note (per student), please see your class teacher for more information about what item/s are required for your child’s class.

Next PFG Meeting Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 10th October at approximately 9.05am in the staffroom. All newcomers are welcome to attend any meeting! You may bring along younger siblings to our meetings as well. Come and

have morning tea with us, a chat and a laugh, and find out what we do around the school.

Music News You or your child may have noticed a colourful

mural which has been evolving over the last few

weeks on the music room wall?! Before the end

of term it is hoping to be completed with the

additions of some lucky students from grades 3

– 6 who have carefully and creatively designed

Dr. Suess inspired characters in black

silhouettes. Thank you to all those students who

submitted their designs – make sure in Term 4,

you check out the wall, and see if you can spot

your creation painted in black silhouette!

A big Thank You to the Bendigo ‘PaintRight’

Store for the generous donation of ‘Haymes’

paint to make this mural possible.

Thankyou from Mr Marsh & Sam
